Slideshow Captions -- Display below the images, not on the images.
In slide show mode, please display captions below the images, not on the images. It greatly detracts from the enjoyment of the slide show when the captions are overlaid on the images. Hope you can do this. Thanks!

Smugmug should be aware that this missing option is why the slideshow block is under-utilized by serious photographers.
There's a CSS workaround (see https://dgrin.com/discussion/243910/more-options-for-slideshow-content-block), but it's awkward.
This is may be a deal breaker. I like SmugMug, but the way it puts the title/caption over the image is really annoying for nice photos. Apparently, SmugMug target users are not folks with carefully composed photos. That seems strange for a site that supports selling images.
This is probably not an issue for family snaps but for serious photographers it's extremely unnaceptable for text to obscure an image. Serious photographers take great care over composing a shot and this band across the bottom significantly affects the composition of the shot.
I strongly feel no images should have any text on them at all.
I agree. In addition the caption overlap the signature, which is most of the time on the lower right (sometimes left) corner -> not nice
Thanks to consider this suggestion
Possibility to display captions and titles below the image in the gallery slideshow.
On the photo, it's nots really nice and not professional !!!
