Galley style with dynamic thumbnail strip which auto scrolls

Create a elegant gallery style where the primary image is also the primary focus throughout. This image will occupy the the majority of the webpage real estate. Then dynamically show a scrolling thumbnail strip to the right or below the image when hightlighted. This could become locked or hidden/displayed on mouse over depending on settings. Art Wolfe's site is a great example of this style here: http://prints.artwolfe.com/#s=4&mi=2&pt=1&pi=10000&p=6&a=1&at=0

This elegant style can have some variation like the used by Ben Hattenbach here: http://www.benhattenbach.com/
And Jimmy Chin:

The major benefit of this more modern dynamic style content is that the the user doesn't ever have to reload the entire webpage to see additional thumbs/images on page 2 ->n. I think stats show that most viewers stop on the first page anyway, not wanting to reload this additional pages.
