give us a gallery landing page
Current: Each gallery entrance point dives right in with the thumbnails and preview on right (default smugmug, yours may differ). Not very elegant.
Want: A landing page at the head of the gallery that shows one or more featured images (prev/next controls), description about the gallery, jump links to areas within the gallery (day 1, day 2.. or start race, mid race, end race... or makeup, ceremony, reception), comments (facebook, etc) about the gallery in general,
Major pluses: Gives us a way to step up the polish of the gallery. and make the main entry really solid. Also, currently, there's no way to allow Google indexing of a gallery entry point without allowing Google to dive into the images. With a landing page, you can make that the extent of the indexing and block the indexing of images (good for people with thousands of shots with no time to caption and title). It's also a great place to allow general gallery commenting.
Another plus: The landing page can have a GPS coordinate the represents the entire gallery. Then, on the map, visitors can see the gallery locations, not a zillion pins for each and ever photo.

When an owner is logged in they can choose "LIST" from the Style drop down that would show them a list of file names in the current gallery. We use this type of option to design albums out of our client's "favorites" folder. Just switched from Pictage and this was one of their options and it was extremely helpful to us!
