I suggest you ...

Integrate with Instagram

Using Instagram app I can take great photos that no other app (although the claims) can do that. I would like to see my Instagram photos seamlessly being synched to my smugmug as well, and vice versa. Instagram editing presets are kind of magical..! Consider integrating and partnering with them to have those effects as online editing options for our galleries, instead of the normal Auto, BW, Sepia stuff.

Sadly Instagram has changed their policies and no longer allows sites like us to display Instagram photos outside of instagram’s app/website. While I’d love to allow you to display Instagram photos on SmugMug, you’ll have to ask Instagram to open their service back up to 3rd parties displaying Instagram photos.

aaron (Director of Product Management, SmugMug) asked "Is this request to add Instagram style filters to our photo editor?"

For me, the answer is a big NO! It's not the filters that are important, it's the ability to share the photos that I uploaded to Smugmug to Instagram seamlessly, like I can with Facebook. It's clearly technically feasible, since I can do it by downloading the photos to my local drive and then uploading them through Gramblr or some similar app, but there's no reason it needs to be that awkward.

And make text selectable/copyable in iOS smugmug app so I can copy/paste it in Instagram app. Now I've to go to smugmug in safari to get access to the text.

Yes - agreed that Instagram should integrate just as you have done with Facebook. A 2-way street.

Instgram is a photo-centric app and so is SmugMug. Its a no-brainer marriage! In addition, my 15 year old daughter (and most of her generation) do not use Facebook or Twitter. They use Instagram every day (...most of the day in fact) so this is obviously a huge market. Right now my daughter uploads to her photo roll and then posts to Instgram. Its a needless double step and only results in using more of her phone's storage thereby creating a "double-storage" waste between her iPhone and SmugMug.

Yes please!! I want to be able to select photos in my albums and have them shared from there to Instagram. I don't care if the photo goes across (or what resolution it is) or whether it's a link with a thumbnail.
        All the best

I would like at least one way, i do my work on PS, and upload to smugmug. I'd then like to share from smugmug to both my FB and instagram account. would make life much easier

Still a relevant request almost three years later. Almost all your competitors have this feature. Definitely a selling point.

My particular situation is that I have clients who want to share photos in their galleries by downloading on either their iPhones or Droids. Would be so awesome to see Smugmug do the same GREAT integration as they have done with Facebook. I'm sure it's just a matter of time, you guys always seem to listen to us and try to add whenever possible!

Instagram appeals to a younger clientele than Facebook or Twitter. It is an excellent marketing tool for businesses and since the only two mobile platforms Instagram currently supports is iPhone and Android, I would think that making an Instagram link would be fairly easy for Smugmug to do. It would generate more traffic to the Smugmug site as well as our professional business sites, so a win-win-win for everyone!

I find myself with a request today to put some photos out on instagram. I'd love to do this with a link on my smugmug site like I can share to FB. I don't have these pics on my iPad. I'm going to have to expressly move them there on an SD card just to use Camera Awesome or the Instagram App to load them. Please consider me asking for Instagram from within my galleries.
